Whale watching > Whale watching film
In Andenes, the edge of the continental shelf is closer to land than anywhere else along the coast of Norway. Here a stable stock of sperm whale feed on giant squid 1000m below the surface of the ocean. When they rise to the surface to breathe, whale watchers have a chance to see this shy animal at close quarters.
In this short WWF film, Daniel Zanoni, marine biologist and tour guide with Whale Safari in Andenes, explains why he finds whale watching so exciting, and why whale watching business is good for whales.
